Was the MAG working? If youre not sure you should MEGGAR it... If all is good to go, get some Brakeclean spray degreaser and give it a good cleaning and some lite air to blow dry it. Mix some epoxy and brush it on neatly with an acid brush. The way a motor shop would do it is with GLYPTAL paint, but I think being oil saturated with you wanting to do an in place repair, Id use the epoxy.
Just picked some up at Retards for $14.95 / kit approx. 4-6 oz. Theres 5 minute and 60 minute stuff... yer choice!
Was the coil damaged from the starter drive? ws
