Would guess that is an indication that the body was not grounded to the frame and battery. Be sure the ground you added is a good enough connection that it will work for everything else connected to the body that requires a ground.
Well, that was stupid! The title says TEST STAND LOL, still need to be sure you have good grounds on the body and frame. And good trouble shooting.
