Re: Coil Wire
Always have trouble posting pics. The high tension wire goes from bottom of my old style coil into a rubber boot that is in line with the metal tube with plug wires. Apparently this is where it connects to distributor. I want to replace the coil wire but can’t figure out how it comes apart. I’m trying to troubleshoot no start issue which I believe is a weak spark. I have cleaned the ignition switch and I measure about 5.4 volts at coil when switch is “on”. I don’t want to just start replacing parts. I am going to try jumper from battery to coil to rule out bad switch. Car runs perfectly… when it starts.
