36coupe: The rodders have been using a plastic like bushing. I believe Bob Drake has them in his on line catalog but you have to use the proper steel shackle bolt and end plate combination for the plastic (Delrin???) bushings. It's best to buy a complete kit for your spring eye size for the first installation.

You can't just press them in a hole that is slightly undersize the thin metal sides buckle. You need to ream the hole a few thousandths smaller then the OD of the bushing. G.M.
