The Zenith carburetor was built using flow tested jets at the factory. That fact is well documented. As far as the jets are concerned, If you want it to “perform as new” then you would have to at least flow test and adjust the jets back to spec. I wouldn’t stick anything, wires, drills etc in the brass jets. They are very soft and you will change the flow rates.
