Don't feel bad. I was removing the glass from my doors this weekend also, and it was struggle.
Those 3 screws were pretty stubborn. Broke the heads off of 2 screws and now pieces are stuck in the D nuts. Replacing those D nuts doesn't look like fun, so I'm hoping I can extract what's left of the screws without damaging the D nuts.
