This may have already been covered but I didn't find it on a search. I am installing the new style solid rubber front oil seal on 39 59A motor rebuild. The mating surface on the crank pulley has a "spiral" machined in the surface which apparently is designed to push oil towards the pan. Is that a problem? Should there be a smooth surfaced sleeve on the crank pulley?
