Don I don't have a problem with using an alternator BUT:got mine on uses one wire hook up.and fans works and looks like the gen.have to take a second look to notice the alt.!,
You might need to get your eyes checked. J M O heh heh he
There are outfits that will install an alternator in your old housing that will not be too noticeable.
