Eliminate the mouse problem. I had a half full jug of anti freeze with no lid on it. There were ten mice that dropped down in that jug and drowned in the anti freeze. I guess they like the smell of the antifreeze.
Prop a small stick up to the opening to make it easier for them to go swimming. Better than a mouse trap. but be careful if you have dogs or cats. Some anti freeze is lethal.
