Looking closely at those three on the upper right, their handles seem more depressed across the top than the version Ford used. It is actually a slight improvement as it permits your thumb to get a good purchase on the top of the handle to counter the tendency of the rest of your hand to tilt the latch forward as you lift up. That's why the later '32 T handle version is such a big improvement over the single pull version as all of your lifting force is directed upward and out rather than part way up and part way in, especially if the internal spring is in good shape. On a '32 hood side panel, the single pull latch is actually a pretty dumb idea. I have four NOS ones on one of my cars and they are a nightmare to use. I use a loop of cord around them so I can direct all of my pull upward. Or maybe I'm just getting old and weak.
