Put a hot air gun to the outside and COOK it out. Hold the gun up close, like 1" for a couple minutes & get things smokin!
Who knows...the primer might release in one solid chunk.
If it's thick you can drill a bunch of holes & bust it out with a screwdriver.
If it comes to solvent I'd try acetone at this point followed by lacquer thinner.
