America really was GREAT back then.
My father wore a hat when I was a kid, as all gentlemen did, until Kennedy was elected president, who did not wear a hat, and so followed the general public. I dont think you can find a hat in a store anymore unless it is a baseball cap. And even the kids have not figured out that the bill on the cap is a sun shade for the eyes.
