Well i checked the voltage on my generator today ...on the load side of the cutout I had battery voltage ...on the generator side with the engine reved up I got 1.2 volts .....I motored the gen and it turned in the direction of the motor ...I had .2 of an ohm between the case of the gen and the Positive post ... I installed a ground wire to the motor to make sure it was grounded..... The field coil drew about 5 amps and put the armature on the growler ..all seemed good ...put the gen on a test bench and it ran 7.2 volts ...now nothing any Ideas before I tear it apart
