I used that Green Rattle Paint from the Vendors on my engine before I put it all together. Just did a normal wash, dry, then degreased it thoroughly, I did warmed it with heat lamps so the block was warmed first. Not sure if I had too, but the shop was cool. Came out good, no issues at all. Surprised how fast it dried.
