Re: Model A rear fenders questions

I never knew that, so aside from the splash apron cutout a 28-29 Roadster fender is different from a 30-31? Bob

Re: Saved Another One: 1928 AA

Great find, I'm impressed with the orange paint job someone took the time to apply at some time, firewall and inside the hood. Bob

Re: Restoration Guidelines & Judging Standards

I've never noticed it but do people that have the guidelines use it to ID and list parts by proper month? Will it help sell parts? Bob

Re: AR BRAKES and EARLY 1928 Brakes

Thanks Tom, both cars in the shop are left hand parking brake and neither have the separate parking brake shoes in the rear. Bob

Re: AR BRAKES and EARLY 1928 Brakes

Thanks Rowdy, I would have thought the non adjustable would have been earlier. Must have been a lot of retooling to get things right early on. Bob

Re: Fellas... I've had enough...

Just posted a question, first one in months, then read this thread. There are some helpful people here, but for the most part not a "family", I believe this is because of the degree of restoration...

AR BRAKES and EARLY 1928 Brakes

When did Ford change from the from the real early non adjustable brake rods to the adjustable ones? Two AR's in the shop one with one style one with the other. Bob

Re: Model A Barrett-Jackson Record Price?

That was a very good deal IMO, it may have been a former Harrah Collection car. Crazy money was spent on the 1915 Ford Circus Cage at $200,000. Did anyone see the 1908 Model T sell? Wonder if that...

Re: Phaeton vs. Touring with the 1928 Ford

There were horse drawn Phaetons, and bicycles called Roadsters, so the term sure wasn't "modern" in 1928. Bob

Re: body welding

Someday I'll get to TIG steel, years ago I did all the Heliarc welding on aluminum bodies in a race car restoration shop. I've been told if I could weld aluminum I could do steel, I just never had...

Re: Suggestion On How To Get The Body Onto The Frame

Stack of concrete blocks two 4x4s a good floor jack, and some back & forth adding of blocks untill you can roll the chassis under it. Did a '35 Plymouth Coupe by myself that way, no big deal. Bob

Door Hinge INTERCHANGE

Not a "Fine Point" question, will FORDOR hinges interchange with other closed body types, or are they unique to Fordors only? Bob

Re: Color 1929 Fordor (60-B,C,170-A)

The Andalusite Blue is a nice color, the shop painted a 1928 Dodge and a 1932 Ford Roadster in it if you want to see it rather than a paint chip in a book. Bob
