Re: l
Ford headlight bulbs were 2330 style from 1935 to 1939 so if an LED bulb fits in a 35 it will fit in every year through 1939. 1940 was the first year for a one piece headlight bulb with the glass...

Re: 1939 pickup engine oil filter
The fitting shown in your photo should not have such a small hole, the hole was damaged during install or repair work.
Fords first oil filter was offered as an accessory in 1936. It didn't...

No assist straps on the seats for the tudor, they were on the door B pillar in back of the heads of the driver and front seat passenger.

Re: sagging drivers door -1936 ford tudorsedan
There are three male dovetails two have offsets and the third (which is reproduced) does not. Having the incorrect male dovetail on the door will make the door very difficult to close and mess with...

Re: 1936 driver side door latch
The clip you need is not an original part of the latch. It is a repair part, the original was part of the housing that has broken off. So the repair part will not be found in the bottom of the door.

Re: 1937 V860 carb issue (i think)
Sounds as if you had a clog in the input valve to the Carb. This usually happens with the input valve with two balls inside. IMO use the original style steel needle style, they do not stick. The two...

Re: 1940 Ford Drag Link Adjustment
There are a couple of the drag links with slightly different shapes, starting in 1936. The off set one is one and a straight version is another. Just the spindle end is adjustable as in Kubes photo...

Re: 1937 - changing gear advice
Sound like a rebuild is in order, should not have to double clutch up or down shifting. 60HP transmission parts should be fairly easy to find and much less expensive than 85HP. Sounds like the...

Re: Generator and Fan
The BB- pulley is smaller because big trucks usually do not operate at high RPM the smaller pulley will increase generator output at lower RPM keeping the battery charged.

Re: Generator and Fan
Appears like the 33-35 Generator. If you clean the body you will find a date code. The pulley usually has a part number as well as the front mounting embossed into the metal.

Re: Packing Differential Bearings?
I only use the final lubricant as assembly lubricant. So for the Ford I use the same lubricant I fill the differential with when done. For the most part there is no need to pre lube.

Re: Cleaning a Hydrostatic fuel gauge
I just leave the acid in for about 10-20 Minutes. Then rinse over and over again with water, or follow the instructions above. If the acid can not reach the stoppage chances are it will not work.
