Reminds me of how my grandfather kept maggots (bait) warm while white fishing in winter when I was a kid in Mt. Yuck. I'd keep them in a container in my armpit. He was faster on the draw with them...

Kat's makes an electric silicone heating pad that you glue to the bottom of the oil pan with silicone sealant. I had one on my Toyota pickup in Alaska. Worked okay but engine always started anyway...
