Re: Kit for mating juice brakes to early spindles-Richard's Early V8 garage?

The bearing spacers from MT and Early V8 Garage were made to be a press fit on UNWORN spindles, but almost all of the spindles have enough wear that red locktite is needed to prevent rotation.

Lightbulb Re: Master cylinder conversion

We use a 7/8" MC on our 1932 kit BECAUSE of the over-all pedal ratio resulting from our design. We use 1-1/16" on 33-34, 35-36 and 37-38 kits. If we install a "dual" MC on 33-34 we are stuck with a...

Re: 1939 Hydraulic Brake Drum

Your 33 no doubt still has the original (rear) drums and wheel cylinders have been added to the original brakes... You need to find an ORIGINAL 32-34 rear hub/drum that has not been hogged out...

Re: B-3311 steering ball. Taper too big.

Mac's has the correct ones, but they and others obviously also have the old incorrect ones that they are selling. Before I was able to work with Mac's to have them corrected (several years ago) I...

Re: Oil in the driveshaft tube

I just measured one from Bruce's and the flange is 1/8" thick. I've been meaning to suggest to Danny that he make it 1/16" instead. We made one for Dennis' T a few years back and made it 1/16" and...

Re: Pressing New drums onto hubs-wheel stud diameter issue

Hey Dick! I think he is saying that his hubs are on top of the drums, which would be what we call an "outie" hub that is used with an "innie" drum, which are the "problem drums." I think the only...

Once again, THANK YOU Bruce! Regarding adapting hydraulics to the 36 spindles, it can indeed be done as you describe. The "inexpensive $20 kit" that you refer to does consist of two piston rings (too...

Re: Rear end experts, I need your advise! Are these axles junk?

The axles in the early rear are the same as Model A and ARE NOT usable in the late32-34 rear, or any other later rear. In fact, that applies to all of the other parts in an early 32 "B" rear, except...

Re: Brake question...

The bore of the original 39 MC is 1-1/16", or 1/16" larger than the dual MC. This will work, but will require slightly more pedal travel to push same amount of fluid, but pedal will be a little...

Re: Rebuild kit for hydraulic brakes

IF they are Ford/Merc/Lockheed brakes, the rear wheel cylinders are the same 39-48. The fronts could be 1-1/4" forward piston diameter (39-41) or 1-3/8" forward piston diameter (42-48) but the...

Re: Need instructions on a '34.

The Service Bulletins that cover the 1932-1934 steering are in the 1932 bulletins. The steering ratio was changed from 13:1 to 15:1 during 1933
AND the sector housing for 1932 is different than...
