I find it difficult to fill up the truck with the strainer in the gas tank filler neck. It causes the gas to splash back or shut off the pump. Is this strainer really necessary if I always fill up...

Re: First car show since paint job - Not bad

Actually the color is gunmetal blue. Rock moss green is more of a green color while this one has some gray and blue in it although it is still primarily green.

Thanks everyone and have a great...

Wink First car show since paint job - Not bad

I entered the pickup in a local Lion's Club car show over the weekend. There were about 250 cars and trucks. For some reason, all the trucks were in 1 class, no matter how old or whether they were...

At least in the milwaukee area, replating was roughly twice the cost of the bumpers from Little Dearborn. I bought them and am very happy with them.

I just tightned mine by holding the fan. It got snug enough that it will not move and the cotter pin will keep it from getting loose.

Re: Running board removal ?

When I removed my running boards, the area you talk about is a pair of "J" shapes that interlock. You just remove all the bolts and lift the running board up and it will come out. Very simple.

Re: paint codes for engine green

Having just painted my truck gunmetal blue, I would say it is pretty close to the engine color, closer than rock moss green which would be too green. PPG will have a code for this color.

For...
