That usually happens after the drain pan has been removed and the new oil runs on the ground or shop floor. I saw one guys A several yrs back that never needed oil in the twenty yrs that he had it....

I found this at a yard sale and I would like to know what it was made for. It looks like it would be used for the main bearing bolts, but not sure. I've never seen one quite like it. Iceman
