I'm not sure what we have here. Although what comes to mind is a single anti chatter rod maybe to attach to the cross member ?

My first car was a '34 Ford 5w in 1959. I've always enjoyed the 33, 34 Fords
and for $200 powered by a good running Flat with 2 twos, this was a dream
come true for a 15 yr. old.

Best offer for four early Ford General Jumbo rims with 5 x 5 1/2 bc. Chrome is street quality on 3. One has area on one spoke should be re chromed. The rims are attached to centers with 3/8 x 24...

The 14in were more common, they had 8 spokes. The less common were the 16's which could be 9, 10 or 11 spoke. And the rare ones were the 15in which were 9 spoke. These appeared on various cars made...

Cutting threads on lathe is great to know. Cutting left hand threads, you start on the left side with compound turned to 29.5 degrees. Your tool moves toward
the lathe center. Good job :)

Make sure the tap is made of HSS (High Speed Steel) not HC (High Carbon)

On my '39 Lincoln the steering shaft has hole running the length, through the steering box. This could take the hot wire and ground if needed. I don't think they had solid steering rods, but maybe.
