Re: VE Day May 8th 1945
The Red Army entered Berlin in late April 1945.
The Red Army completed the capture of Berlin on May 2, 1945.
The US, British and French did not reach Berlin until July 4, 1945.

Re: pennies
People insist that only "wheat" pennies be used; not true--any pre 1982 penny is mostly copper.
No need for me to do this..

Re: Ford 1934 Tudor
It's called a robe cord. It is for holding the lap robe that people used to keep warm while riding in cars during the winter months. The robe was hung on the robe cord when not in use. It is not...

Re: 1937 ford jack
Lin sold me this jack as a 1937 piece some time after Dearborn last year.
To be honest, I only opened the box once, to verify that there was a jack and stand in there and to photograph it. I never...

Re: 1937 ford jack
Thanks. Lin Stacy sold me the jack as a 1937 piece.
I guess he was mistaken?
Thanks.

Re: hank crank starting rod problem
Yup. I was wondering how easy it would slip off on start as well. It would be a real issue if it did not disengage. On the T it easily slips away. But I have concerns about that very issue.

Re: hank crank starting rod problem
Why?
I was thinking of trying it out.
I have some Model T experience and have seen Model T cars hand cranked many times.
I am looking into it. No reason why it can't be safely done.

Re: '35 gas tank yuck
Use two old tires around the tank. Add the POR-15. Agitate the mix by rolling the tank around for a couple hours. Or pay some kid to do it. Worked for me.

Re: Find out more about my '37 fordor
That number can tell you about when the original engine and transmission were mated. Your engine and trans were mated some time in mid November 1936. Very early in 1937 model year production.

Re: Find out more about my '37 fordor
My 1937 Ford serial is 3514381, making it an early production car.
No need to fear posting that Ford number.
No one can do anything with that number.

Re: Went for a drive today......
I really enjoyed my 1937 Ford today. Very mild temps in the Northwest Indiana/Chicago area made for almost perfect driving conditions.

Re: Went for a drive today......
I took advantage of the mild weather in the Chicago/Northwest Indiana region and drove my 1937 Ford throughout the day, even to the Mexican Store.
