If the ratchet nut bottoms out and the pully is loose, you need to fashion a washer to put between the nut and pulley.

When Zenith stopped making A/B Zenith carbs, Ford started suppling Tillotson and Marvel carbs as replacements, even assigning Ford part numbers to them.

Don't paint the lower part of the distributor, that goes in the head. Use sandpaper or steel wool to clean and make it shiny. Also clean the distributor hole in the head. This how the points get to...

The cowl cross brace has a hole in that the cowl lamp nut goes thru. Buy the wood blocks the vendors sell and you can center the hole. They also sell a centering tool.

I got 7,800 miles on my Universals on my 31 slant Town Sedan. The Goodyears lasted 14,500 before they were replaced last year. I now have European Classic so I'll see how long they last.

Hi Dick, the solenoid used on that O/D will work just fine on 6V. Even though it was designed to be used in 12V cars.

I've given up on the tank or firewall valves. Both my cars have ball valves in the line up close by the sediment bowl. Have not had a problem in15 years.
