When I first got my 29 I did not know better so after I melted my ammeter and fried a few wires I installed a fuse block and a cut off switch. I also have a fire extinguisher.

Yes it is adjusted as far as it goes, both the brake rod and the wedge. I will take out the pin to see what shape it is in, I had it out before but that was a couple months ago.

Front brake question

If I pull the brake lever all the way back on the left front brake assembly, the shoes do not grab. Should I be looking at the horizontal shaft or the operating pin? The shoes are new, the hardware...

I soldered a ground wire to the backside of the reflector in both lights and attached the wire to the bolts inside the lights and now they work as they should.

Mine is a repo part, and it is good to know it is probably not that part. I will see if I can ground the headlight better and see how that goes.

That is what I tried, and I think I found the dimple but it may have been my imagination. It certainly was not pronounced. I will try either a screwdriver or what Marco suggested on his web site....

I did try to find the timing mark (it is an "A" timing cover) but was not successful so I removed the #1 plug and found TDC (it had to be correct because it was not 180 degrees off). I know...
