for sale :
'37 flathead 21 stud 85 hp engine has many new parts. new wires, plugs, dist caps, coil, points, rebuilt fuel pump, rebuilt '97 carb, fresh oil change.
comes with a '40 ford side linkage...

Thanks so much. I do have a resistor inline with the switch.
Tested it and have 4 volts at the points.

Looked over the points, and they were not closing all the way.
Reset the points, hooked up the fuel line, and tried it.
The thing took off right away, with little cranking.
Runs really smooth, but...

I need your help. I rebuilt a '37 flathead, but do not have spark at the plugs. I have 6.35 volts at the points, when the points close I still hav 6 volts. I have new wires on it, points...

I have a '37 flathead . I dont have alot of history on it. Its a 85 hp.

What I have done to it is new points, condenser, plugs, plug wires, new inner caps with good used outer caps. Have cleaned...

sub-rail replacement

Got a project that needs new sub-rails. Hows the best way to do this?? The body and frame are seperated, and am now ready to replace the subs. Has anyone got info or experience they may want to share...
