The serial # is too far forward on the frame. It should be able to be read once the fender is on, not covered up by it. Some body has stamped that on there.

Did all the "early" roadster doors have three side curtain snaps along the top of the door? Or did some of the early doors transition to the two snap style, same as the "later" doors. By "early"...

I wonder why we think a residue pressure valve is needed ? I don't think the stock `40 Ford hydraulics used them.
you will need to reduce from the 1/4" Ford brake line to go into the 3/16" fittings...

I put one on my 59a with a crab distributor. I had set Top Dead center on piston # 1 before I put the heads on. Then marked the crank pulley so I could check to be sure of the timing.

Are you sure it's rear axle lube getting in the trans. ? That's a long way for lube to run uphill to get in the trans. I thought that front torque tube seal, just behind the speedo gear, was there...
