Lid is being mailed off to you tomorrow
Sorry to say the gasket stuck to the lid and the box itself. It is very thin. I can send a picture of what's left of the gasket if that helps?

I solved my vapor lock problems with installing little steel sheet to close the exhaust pipe going thru the intake manifold. did this last year, and i never had any more vapor lock!

Randy, Before you buy a pump, climb under again and tighten the connections where you took off the old pump. You may very well be sucking air at that point, which would have the exact same...

49Fordy... Crazy you say that, I installed one 15 years ago back at the tank for cold starts. Just a few weeks ago it started leaking so I took it out so I could drive the car. I guess it's time for...

Drove my 50 Merc with a original Holly 885 carb to work today bc my truck is in the shop.. it's about 80° today in eastern Idaho and is vapor looking like crazy.. no flat out dying...

Dumb question to some maybe? But do these Chevy conversion dizzys work on 6volt pos ground too? And roughly how much are they? And do I need to find a core? Fighting with stock 8ba condenser dieing....

In the last 30 days I've had 2 Napa Echlin's FA66 go bad. Made in Mexico not Japanese junk or is it?
Some time ago someone here I believe? Suggested to use a Echlin Framall IH200 condenser? Heavier...

Years ago my dizzy went copout.. So I sent it off to Bubba for a rebuild. He found the wire inside the dizzy was grounding out..not the case this time since I saw a spark in the points when I cranked...

Cas3 before I ran the Emery cloth through points I changed out the coil with a coil that I had on the Shelf with no effect. I also changed out the condenser with one that I had on the Shelf too
