Re: Buying an out of state car on the internet
Dave. Just be patient and keep looking locally. There are many, many cars within a 3 hours drive of you , just sitting in garages, as their current owners have become too old to use them or have...

Re: Running rough
Take a look a your plugs. If they are sooty black, she's running rich and it could be due to the float level being set too high or other carb adjustments. If the plugs are clean, she might be too...

Re: Gearing for 16 inch wheels
My 29 had 16's on it when I bought it also. I ran it that way for 5 years and was always considering doing a gearing change to make things better. She was wound up pretty tight to run along at 45...

Re: R & R Steering column
I agree with the 2 hours. I just did mine to rebuild it and it was necessary to remove the pedals and starter. It comes into the cabin and out the door. Not easy... But not terrible either.

Re: Model A Tires
The Plastic Bag Method...I had seen this on You Tube a while ago and took it one better. What a breeze to mount new tires. Go out to a dollar store and buy a box of 55 gallon trash bags, thin mil,...

Re: Model A Tires
I bought a set of 21" Lesters from Universal this past summer and am totally satisfied with them and the company. I mounted mine onto newly powder coated wheels using the plastic bag method. Man,...

Re: Update on ring clearances
Be sure to look at the piston wrist pins. One of my Model T engines locked up due to the wrist pin seizing within the piston. This was a newly rebuilt motor with about 1500 miles on it. We pulled...
