12 volt starter rpm reduction

I installed a 12 volt starter in my 36 and I want to reduce the RPM so the Bendix drive doesn't hit the flywheel so hard and reduce the noise. I am sure others have this problem.

If you are running the original coil it has an ignition resistor that cuts the voltage to save the points. Test the output of the resistor while the ignition switch is on and if it is less than 3...

37 trunk lid arm (spring)

Can't find this spring anywhere! Does anyone know if there is a reproduction made or has one I could purchase? I have a Club Cabriolet but assume all 37's used the same trunk lid spring.
