Re: leg room in roadster
Mom said my grandpa had to back into the model T and A. He was over 6'. I still put my butt on the seat first, then pivot my legs in. Try it. It may help, & cost nothing.

Re: Seasons Greetin,Vermin!

I know this first hand.
The kind that the rodents have to...

Re: What can be gained by a 6.0 head?
The only time I drive 35mph is in town and on curves. If I was happy with topping out at 35mph I would've bought the Model T Phaeton I test drove 20 years ago.
I understand it's a 40 horse...

What can be gained by a 6.0 head?
I have a bone stock 30 Fordor. If I went with the 6.0 head, how much of a power increase would I see? I'm talking about using existing carb. I don't want a radical alteration.
Thanks.
I...

Re: Vinegar in Radiator
Dawn will clean the heck out of a radiator, removing the grease. But only use a Tablespoon or so. Again. The voice of experience speaks here.

Re: Vinegar in Radiator
I'll NEVER use vinegar again!! It's been a complete disaster. After driving it, the water pump stayed leaking, which caused rust on the motor. After I neutralized it, I overfilled it and stained...

Maybe a dumb question...
On the A side every month or so someone asks about how fast their model A should drive. This leads to lots of different opinions and comments. But I dont see that coming up here on the T side.

Re: Odd Shaped Hole in Radial Tube
When I worked with earth moving equipment I spent many a rainy day patching tubes and tires for 3/4 ton trucks to 6X6 tires on split rims, Semi 2 piece rims up to Cat loaders, which were always fun. ...

Re: Off topic: If you were 18 again?
I would look one more time to check for traffic on my left. Two weeks after my 18th, my cousin and I were were crossing a 4 lane highway to get milk. Half way across a Sedan De Ville broadsided me...

Re: Determining Model A Gas Mileage
I am averaging almost 15 MPG, mostly in town and back country roads. I plan on a highway trip soon and see what happens. I keep a log, using a "clue book" and log every trip, conditions,...

We use I-40 from Amarillo to Arizona. There the old Route 66 ran parallel to the Southern Pacific RR line where possible to ease building. We stayed in Tucumcari coming and going to Durango,...

Re: AA Underdrive
According to my Dad, who drove the AA commercially, the "Dual-Hi" was nothing of the kind. It indeed was an Underdrive which allowed a 40hp motor to move huge loads, like 20 joints of 30' drill...
