I've got a debate for everybody out there that needs some input..I recently read an article in Street Rodder magazine that was debating why people put a regular old small block chevy in their FORD...

Thanks rotorwrench...I do have the #'s...F1R2KC20049 I take it as: F1=1/2 ton pickup, R=V8 flathead, 2=1952 yr, KC= built in Kansas City,MO...Yeah who knows what parts were exchanged on my truck???...

I thought a modern 4 barrel carb might be better for tuning and performance than the Holly 94,either way I have multiple old 94's worthy of rebuilding. Maybe I should run dual 94's and keep it...

Thanks for the info...I guess it does'nt matter what heads I have now,I plan on replacing them anyway with new alluminum navarro racing heads or offenhauser 8BA heads.I plan on doing a total rebuild...

I need some help from you fellows... I'm about to start rebuilding my 51-52 flathead motor and I think it has been rebuilt in the past due to a metal plate affixed to the front-bottom of the motor...

I agree with you guys,and plan on doing most of the rebuild myself except for the machining.I guess what I'm looking for is a good machine shop with flathead experience.I'm in no hurry to get this...

I found this one guy in Canton Tx, east of the DFW metroplex, called
Lost in the Fifties. He was mentioned in a rebuild book of mine to be a good flathead engine rebuilder.I'm gonna check him...
