Re: 1932 Ford Subrail Frame Extensions
Brookville has two different part numbers for subrail extensions, one for their roadster and one for their 3-window coupe. So apparently they differ somehow. The Brookville 3-window one which I...

Re: Cleaning out my cams
Taking inventory of my cams, I ran across a NOS Wolverine #933. Seems like a pretty useless grind with 280/268 duration and 52 degrees overlap with only a .320 inch lift.

Re: Help me ID this generator
I agree with piston broke, that unit is an attempt to run a 2-brush generator with a fan mount pulley. The case and rear plate are 40-53.
The pulley is a bit of an oddball. With the curved...

Re: The All 32 Run
Tom,
This is great news! I gonna have to hustle to get my 32 Tudor back on the road in time to participate. After a multi-decade slumber, the total rebuild is finally underway.

Re: 1932 Tudor rear body to frame rubber pads
The original rearmost pads from my 32 Tudor are 1 1/2 x 2 5/8 x 5/16 thick. They have six plies of fabric reinforcement. So overall, they consist of mostly the fabric infused with rubber. See...

Radius Rods: 37-40 vs 41
According to the parts books, 41 radius rods are different than the 37-40 ones. What's the difference? I have a pair which are about 68 inches long. I thought they were for 37-40. I know the...

Re: Red Primer Paint
David, not sure I understand your point. When I first stripped my Tudor in 1964 or so, it had red oxide colored primer that was a bit hard to remove by chemical stripping. I assumed it was...

Re: Keep or patch hole in front fender?
Check to see if the "missing hole" on the passenger side is the result of prior metalwork. If not maybe it is a 32 fender. The 32 fenders look similar but have the mounting holes in a different...

Re: Added LED lights to my '35 Fordor - wow!
How sensitive is the "motion sensing" of that third brake light? Does it come on if you just take you foot off the gas or only when braking? Did you get it from LEDlights.com?

Re: Alternator replacement
Burly,
The "G420" pulley is an aftermarket item. It is intended to convert a two brush 40 - 48 generator to a fan drive to replace an earlier three-brush generator. Key difference: the G420 has a...

Re: fan change 39 /44?
Coop,
Thanks for the very helpful additional info. I have been thinking about using a generator two-belt setup to drive the fan. I may need some more guidance as I work out the details.
