Re: This is a site for stock restoration.
RyanB,
Personally I disagree with your thought that you need to modify your Model A to make it safe or enjoyable. With that said, there are other sites where you can find help on that if that is...

Re: Hershey is Dying, Corrections are needed
For the past several years, I have arrived in Hershey on Tuesday and set up with some friends in the Chocolate Field early on Wednesday morning. This year sales were OK, but not quite as good as the...

Re: Page 66 in Antique Automobile 180A
Yesterday I suggested to Steve Moskowitz, Executive Director of the AACA, that he should read this discussion due to some of the comments that had been made at that time. This evening, I received an...

Re: Page 66 in Antique Automobile 180A
Peter,
Revealing a score to an owner is of course a violation of the rules for a judge in AACA. With that said, I can tell you that I have seen a bunch of 400 point cars in my years of AACA...

Re: Hershey questions
The only other thing that I will mention is that to find all of the Model A Stuff, you really have to glance over spaces other than those who are listed in the program as being Model A Vendors. For...

Re: Model A Wipers
My wiper arrived back today. It works like it should and the price was fairly reasonable. Not the fastest repair ever, but I am happy.

Re: Armored Wire?
I just double checked the books and according to the Judging Standards, "The single wire on open cars was a stranded conductor with conventional insulation surrounded by a spiral metal armor."

Re: Armored Wire?
The wire to the electric wiper on my1929 Phaeton is an armored cable. I don't remember what other open body styles used the armored cable, but I think there were a few.

Using IE, the site naviagation buttons seem strange. The top half of the buttons don't work but the bottom half of the buttons work fine. As long as I only click on the bottom half of the...

Re: At my wits end, with this no-start problem!
Bob,
A few things that I have not seen while reading your explanations about what you have done come to mind.
Have you considered an intake manifold leak? If you have a leak here, the fuel...

Good to see you back in an A Gillette! Now, if we can just get you to consider joining a local club.... or at least coming along on a few local tours. Hope to see you soon.

Re: Not 'A' but old care related ebay madness
I don't know which scares me the most... the fact that this seller is listing such "vintage" plastic gas jugs or the fact that there are people out there that will actually buy them. Checking...

Re: Just Curious...
Maybe it is a regional thing. I live in Southeastern North Carolina. We have plenty of roads here that you can drive a Model A on without modifications. My car is stock. No mods to make it "more...

Re: Hershey Question, how to get a vendor space?
If you join AACA, and an AACA member will be selling parts in the space, and you have a PA Tax Number, you would certainly be eligible to get a space. The Tax number and the space registration has...

Re: model a style 28-29 or 30-31
My first Model A was a 1931 Briggs bodied town sedan. I initially thought that the 30/31 cars looked better. My current Model A is a 1929 Phaeton. I still like the later closed cars, but the...
