414509I left the original metal floor in place. I replaced all the hardwood planks between the bed floor and the subframe.

You aren't the only one with a Frankenstein truck...I have a 40 flathead in a 1938 car frame, a 1936 cab with a 1937 bed. It all works ;)

yeah, on second look that may be correct. I used a big piece of pvc to soak my dash rail and steering column, but I used vinegar and I didn't cut the pipe, just put caps on both ends

The dash is two layers there. I put large flat washers and lock washers under the bolt heads.

Inside the dash where the column drop bolts go through, is there a separate reinforcing plate to install before I put the bolts in?

I haven't see it yet, but tonights show of Chasing Classic Cars supposedly features a 1936 Ford pickup...yay! :D

Not going for show points, the truck is a Frankenstein with a 38 frame, 36 cab, 37 bed, and a 40 flathead...:D LOL.

But I'm keeping it 6v positive ground and cable...

Since this is a truck and uses a foot starter switch, there is no solenoid, no dome light, no cigarette...

I was measuring center to center
Inside edge to inside edge is more like 2.12 as Ford measures
