Re: Do rivet nuts work?

Seat Bolt should be very secure especially in a hot rod. I would go with flat bar stock like you're talking about, attach that to both ends of the body rail frame, drill and tap for truss head...

Re: 1928 Tudor parts

I have everything on my list above EXCEPT a seat bar (pictured in the post above). I need at least one but will take 2 if you have them.

Need the seat bar ONLY, can't edit the older posts.

Re: F100 brake conversion. use F100 hubs or 37-48 hubs

F-100 Drums, shoes, hardware, wheel cylinders and bearings are all still available at most regular auto parts stores. I have them on my '41 p/u and they stop GREAT and adjustment is easy. I have a...

Re: tire balancing 1940 coupe

Re: tube shocks

I used an old clamp on kit in the rear. The KYBs went to my old '54 panel as they were too stiff for the '47. I know the angle is steep, but the exhaust is in the way.

Re: tube shocks

Did my '47 through the axle like a '48, go slow and use lots of cutting oil. I've seen the kits to add it on the perch pin, but I've also seen a few with broken off ears.

Re: 1946 ford long door coupe trunk lid

I would assume that a trunk lid from a long door 46-48 Ford and Merc would fit but the trunk trim holes would be different.

Re: 40-41 rear pickup window gasket

I also used Dennis Carpenter for front and rear glass, fit perfectly. Front was a pain and took LOTS of soap.

I did it in 2020 if I remember correctly.
