We gave it a red hot go down here in Christchurch New Zealand managed to get 17 cars and 25-30 odd people. Its mid winter here at present so was a bit cold out.

Phil,. we sell the 390g Cat grease guns at work they are not that expensive, AU and NZ are the only countries that use 450g cartridges, Cat only sell the 390 and 450 in our region.

Just had this same issue and trimming the shoes remedied, worth bringing this thread back into the main for others to see. Only took about 1.5mm off each shoe. Bit more than the 20” but got a good...

I am looking at doing mine with 36 Ford LHD internals into the 34 Ford RHD housing to get a Ratio upgrade, I have heard it can be done successfully.

Thanks Charlie, I have converted it to 9 Inch Dutchman 28 spline Axles and spider gears so all good in that department. Just need pinion and carrier bearings.

I tell people that a New Stock 97 and a Stromberg E Fire distributor with new coil and leads will fix most Flatheads for those who are not particulalrly mechanically minded or have resources to be.

No Pan Rail plugs either which I like, One less place to leak, 8BA style top deck centre holes.
