Re: 41 fire truck

Good luck with your truck. The latest Early Ford V8 club magazine has a story on the restoration of a 42 Ford fire truck. Looks much like yours. It is from Canadaigua, N.Y. originally. Great...

Peter,
You have a beautiful ride there. My father in law has a 40 Coupe with the original Flattie. He bought it at Hershey around 1988, came from an estate in Oklahoma. Had less than 20k on the...

Re: Moonshine '40 coupe moonshine handling

I saw a 1940 Ford Shine runner at the AACA car show in Hershey last October. If memory serves, it had a Caddy V8 and a lot of spring help.
An interesting part of Americana, I guess this is where...

Re: Fan blades are BREAKING

I had a fan blade come off on my 48 F1, which had a 51 Merc motor in it at the time. Went right through the hood. Scared the crap out of the kids and I. I am very wary of standing next to a...

Re: Best year of pickup for tall person

I am 5'10 and I fit in my 53 rather nicely. Short compared to some of you guys.
I could wear a fedora in my truck and not touch the top of the cab. My truck has a split bench from a Ford car,...

Re: Take a Ride with Jay

I watched that last night. I also watched another hour and a half's worth.
Watching him drive Steve McQueen's Jaguar XKSS was way cool. Watching a multimillion dollar car go down the highway is...

Re: DOROTHEA LANGE and her 1933 WOODY

I believe she was employed by the Farm Bureau to photograph the Depression, out west. Her work is outstanding. Another Depression Era Photographer I like is Russell Lee. The Pietown New Mexico...

Re: '51-'53 F-1 Deluxe Option

Just to add the Stu's answer, the 53 was a newly designed truck, called the F100. The F1 was the first Ford redesigned product after WW2. It was built from 1948-52. The first three years had little...

Re: January-March 1929 vehicles needed for data...

I have a 1929 Fordor, not sure what month it was produced. How do you know what month it was produced. I believe it is a Murray body. Not the car in my avatar, that's a Tudor.

Re: Need a car, need an engine just go to the factory and get on fresh off the line

My 53 F100 is coming off the line!!! Except it's a six cylinder, star on the grill. Like to think that's the Chester plant, and those are the guys that put my truck together. :)

I do have a Panel Truck. It is not for sale. I don't have a picture of mine, but have a picture I found on the web somewhere. I believe it is one taken back when it was fairly new. Ford did...
