Thanks for the replies.

Reason - to make it easier to keep clean and looking good.

I was also thinking of powder coating the generator too, but I know I have to keep the electrical connections...

I never used fuel additives either, for over 20 years. But now after recently experiencing a stuck valve I'm using the recommended MMO added to the fuel.
Who knows what's in the fuels these days....

I used a heat gun to soften the straw on the PB Blaster and put a nice right angle in it. With this I was able to get up under the valve face and spray the rod. I worked it up and...
