Finally got the engine back in the 49. Have an offenhauser 4bbl intake with a 390 cfm holley adapted to it. having issues with the holley, and am thinking of running a 500 cfm edelbrock. right now...

I used one from a Harley Davidson because it takes less pressure to activate it. Works fine in the 49.

There is also a rod length difference between the aluminum and cast iron intake manifolds. I believe it is a full inch though if memory serves me. Joe
