Re: How many miles should spark plugs last?

(Warning: tangent ahead) Gary in WA - Those little compressed air-powered abrasive spark plug cleaners brought me back to 1974. I was working as a mechanic’s helper at a Kawasaki motorcycle dealer in...

Re: Henry and Edsel again

Re: Snyder's New Catalog Came...and a Warning!

The utopian CAD-to-part concept is appealing, and can currently be applied to some parts. The example of a bracket is apt. But any machining for flatness for mating parts, tapping threads, drilling...

Re: Cowl light follow up

On mine, the cowl lights only function as turn signals.
Is there a way to have them function as both running lights and turn signals? Has anyone had any experience with the 2-bulb version kit?

Re: A call for help to the electrical specialists.

Perhaps this is well known to others, but I’m wondering why someone would prefer one kind of alternator to another (1 wire or 3 wire)?

Re: New to me

Besides having the ignition off when rocking the car to release the Bendix gear, also be sure the parking brake is off. I was panting and seeing bright flashes of light before I realized the brake...

Re: Sealed beams

Note there are two types of LED headlamps. One has an array of LEDs with no optical system. This kind uses the reflector / focus / lens of the original system. Therefore any defects (tarnished...

Re: Engine Number

How does the Burtz block folks do it? What number do those engines come with ?
I read that changing a VIN is a felony. I don’t know if that would be interpreted as extending to the engine number,...

Re: pay it forward?

How to remove Roadster back rest?

The leather upholstery on the backrest was replaced 65 years ago, and it’s worn and torn where the driver’s back presses against it.
To be clear, the seat cushion that you sit on came out already....

Re: 16 Day transformation of 30 pickup.

Re: 1929 TwoLite headlamps w/ LED turn signals
