Generator charges 10 amps at idle and hard over at 20 when reved up a little. Moving the third brush either way makes no difference. Generator is grounding alright and seems to be wired correctly...

I used the wire type on my 30... I find they work really great. Never had any luck at all with the flat type. With the wire type, as soon as I take my foot off the brake the pedal comes right back...

Bumper clamp blue

Just wondering what blue you are using on your bumper clamps ? I used the Testors model paint number 1111. It looks pretty good but wondering if there is a shade that would be closer to the original...

Removed the rear tire carrier which I think is an Argentine repro part ( Car came from Argentina ) Heated the round tubing section between flanges and slightly bent it. I now have one inch clearance...

Rule of thumb is that a bearing is always installed with a race fastened to the part of the machine that rotates. In your case the shaft rotates so the inner race of the bearing should be a press fit...
