Congrats my friend! My F-100 was the first truck I had driven that was a three in the tree. Taught myself how, and never grinded a gear. I was 19 then. That was almost 14 years ago. My truck, and I...

Re: 1953 f-100 front end
I have a 53 F-100 also. I had a severe bump steer after rebuilding the front end. New king pins, drag link, tie rods, springs ect... I tried 2, and 4 degrees. The 4 degree worked better, but...

Re: late model OD trans in 53 f-100 flathead
I would also like to know. I have the same truck, and the same tranny sitting in my garage. I have been told its similar to installing a top loader 4spd that was in Ford muscle cars in the 60's.

I always look forward to this show! It is a nice drive from upstate SC. It seems to grow each year. Plan on being there this year.

Re: 9 inch rearend swap
I have a 9" with a 3.25 ratio in my 53 F-100. Mild flatty, and stock tranny. Cruises @ 60 just a lil over 2000 rpm's. Best bolt on I ever did. The axle came from a 71 F-100.
