the f2 plates fit the f1 spindle, i wasnt sure if its an actual f2 backing plate because it has ebrake cables and i thought all f1 and f2 had them on the driveshaft.

alright, so the f2's between 1948-56 rear backing plates (with ebrake cable holes) i can use on f1 spindles?
does any one know the overall size of the f2 backing plates?
i know they take 12" drums,...

im looking for a set of brakes for a project...but would like a lil more info if anyone has any ideas.
i know the early f2's had a single piston brake wheel cylinders on it.
and i know the rear's...

control rods are used new old stock, there not the reproduction cheap aluminum ones, they are all steel.

Im not sure, but it didnt start off as Vin Numbers.
More likely like serial numbers....to help keep track of how many were being produce, model and make identification.
I would suppose the same...

I would change it...2 yrs is a long time, you dont know if water or what not ever got into the engine.
