Re: '57-'60 F100 questions
All doors of that series should fit. Those with upholstered panels have holes for mounting.
When looking for a driver side door, check to see the condition of the inner hinge mounting.

Re: Rear spring spreader from Snyders
Never needed one, but it seems to me an adjustable upper link from a tractor type, 3 pt. hitch could be used with appropriate end pieces to push the spring eye, maybe ??

Re: Pilot bearing fit
Size on Size is a press fit, that won't work, as you know. You should be able to polish down the pilot about .0015 with some emory cloth.

Re: Need water pump rebuilt or to purchase
The original motor in a '54 would have been a 239 or 256, not a 292. '54 was a first year "Y", and many differences from '55 on.
Find a parts store with old guys and books,,,,
beat me to...

Re: Y block flywheel ring gear
If you are sure of the year, and you have an 11" clutch, it is from a larger truck, F6 or F7. Not sure of a flywheel difference.
Check this guy, 715-677-3809,,,ring gears are his thing,

Re: Stainless steel '36 sedan
I think it was Allegheny that had a hand in making stainless Autocar road tractors for Edgecomb steel distributers in the early '60's.

Re: End of the Line
Very sad,,,indeed.
That UTE is really slick. Instead here we have monster PU's that cost 40 grand.
