Jan '28 Open Cab: example of 'stepped' upper socket. Note too the bolts have 'holes' vs. 'slots' for the retaining pin. Assume to be original, but then its been 90+ yrs ... :D

Remember ... the 'off-set' switch/cover had a 'notch' to prevent the rod from twisting. Until i found an original, i made do by modifying a .50 cal shell casing for my 'non-notched' switch
