Re: Cool auction

The mentality to hoard this much stuff and keep it out of circulation from people that could use it, escapes me. It makes absolutely no sense. So what if you have it. If it's just going to sit in the...

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour

Now that you mention it, I think ours in VietNam were the same vintage. The paint was a condiment. :D

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour

For the most part, I thought Army chow was pretty good. The 1949 c-rats left a bit to be desired though. :D

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour

So, I should come there with low expectations and they will meet them? :D That place was always kinda' marginal in my book. But, one of these days we may give it another try. ha ha You're right,...

Re: What I Did on My Lunch Hour

Vic, I seem to remember that Steele Rubber used to re-vulcanize some parts. This was a while back but you might want to check with them. Mike

Re: Newport engineering wipers

I had Newport wipers on my '39 coupe. They worked great. There was one drawback; the wiper motor is so large, it goes through the headliner and into the cab. I had to have the upholstery guy make a...

Re: chrome plating question

I've used Paul's in the past for both hot rod and jukebox parts and was never disappointed. Pricey but excellent results.
Those tools at Frankford ruined a ton of my parts and still expected me to...
