a 1939 ford standard sedan, body is off the frame and all parts are off the car. I am putting the drive train and independant suspension from a 1979 mercedes 300TD. Why? cause I can. It was rolling...

Gas tank
looking for a fuel tank and sending unit for a 1939 ford standard sedan.
Tank is shot and need to either buy a brand new one or a used one that is usable... thanks!:)

1939 ford standard sedan glass
anyone have any ideas on where to purchase a new glass kit for the 39 sedan? will need glass for sure, fogged out and craked up.:rolleyes: found one kit on ebay for the glass alone, I dont think it...

So there are fossils in the tank...
We got the body off the frame of the 39 today and have now removed the gas tank. After a lot of banging and a lot of shop vac action most of the 1/4" of re-fossilized fuel is out of the tank.. does...

I will take a look for that book, that sounds like a great idea! the bowling ball idea would come in use as well, we were trying to figure out what on earth to use that would be solid enough to pound...

Unfortunatly the majority of the panels were already off and bent from being placed loosley, and the other fender has a tear in the same spot so its really hard to guess how it should be shaped to an...

1939 Ford standard manual
does anyone know where I can find a service manual or chassis manual for the 1939 ford standard sedan? There isnt a lot out there that I can find.
