OK. All set. Ordered Boling Bros. front backing plates, wheel cyls, shoes, etc. I can use my stock wide-5 hubs. Their shoes are 1 3/4". $425. I'm good to go. Many thanks for everyone's input!

Disc brakes for wide-5 drums

I want to keep the wide-5s on my '37. Anyone aware of a source for a disc conversion? Currently running 46-48 F/M hydraulic set-up. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for your advice, guys. I drained the coolant and refilled with distilled water, then put in a bottle of 2-part Rislone Cooling System Repair, and ran it for about 15 minutes. In all the books...

What gap should I set the points? I checked them and found one set @ .015, the other @ .025. Motor is 59A bored/stroked to 284, blown. I believe Ford recommended .015 - .018 on theirs. Any help...
