the 48 F1 we are working on has been in the owners family for about 50 years ( they are the second owners), we pulled the starter and it has a 10 tooth gear, but could it be that it was replaced...

I am working on a 48 flathead six. I read that the starters are the same except the bendix gear is 9 teeth on the six and 10 on the v-8, is this correct? Also I pulled the starter and it has 10...

a guy brought in a 31 model A pickup, with an all steel top and a wider bed than usual, and someone told us that it is a rare truck. What is the deal with this? Can someone enlighten us on this...

I have the engine the correct red, but don't know if the fan and pulley is the same red or black???

I am restoring a 48 flat bed, and want to put the stake pockets back in with the original style rivets. how do I buck the rivets on the inside of the pockets? how did Ford do it?

i would say that any signpainter (not a vinyl slapper) in your area, could paint your caps with a brush. if you can't find anyone, send em to me, ill hand paint them for you.

we have a 48 226 in our shop, the engine's original color was definitely the dark red (just slightly darker than bright red), got the right color in a rattle can from c&g
