'36/'37 21-stud Flathead/Transmission
Anyone need a good rebuildable 21stud flathead? It’s a ‘37 block with ‘36 heads and in-block water pump blockoffs plates. My guess is it was a replacement for a ‘36 sometime after the ‘37...

Re: Who has the best Tillotson rebuild kit?
I have a stash of Holley 94's, but I've had several comment that I would be over-carbing with nothing more than a head swap. More carb calls for more cam and more intake flow (valves), and I don't...

Re: Who has the best Tillotson rebuild kit?
Thanks. I'm not after judging marks, I'm just looking for a good-running carb. I'm building a war-era hot rod. My Tudor WILL have a "B" police head and maybe (or maybe not) a Mallory distributor. ...

Thanks, guys. Just wanted to get the best kit i could so I only have to do this once.
I'll be reading all I can and watching all the online instructions I can find before I dive in to this one. ...

Will a BB Bell work with a T5?
Wondering if a BB bellhousing would work adapting a T5 to a B block the same way an AA bellhousing works with an A block? I know you would have to use the B oil pan as well...
Or would it be...

Re: How much better is a B block than an A?
Thanks @hardtimes I know "luck" has very little to do with it!
I'm wanting a simple early pre-war hopped up Sedan that I'm not afraid to drive around town and maybe on some backroads. No speed...

Re: How much better is a B block than an A?
Speaking of Russian/German blocks....How on earth would a common North Carolina grease monkey obtain one of these blocks? And I don't think I need to remind you all that NC grease monkeys don't...

How much better is a B block than an A?
OK, a little more info requested...
I went back to snap a shot of the engine number stamping yesterday, but the pad on the side of the block was blank. I have since learned that, on B engines,...

Re: How much better is a B block than an A?
Again, I say thanks John.
My intent is for a nice peppy banger for my '31 Tudor. Its going to be a little hot-roddish for this site, but since you asked....
The car will be basically a...
